Gwen Maybin graduated from Northeastern University with high honors with  a degree of Special Education. Before embarking on her journey of starting her own company, Gwen was a teacher for more than eight years. Having such a passion for promoting good health, she left the teaching field and began to work for a vegan food company, where she quickly moved up the ranks and became V.P. of Marketing and Product Development.

When Gwen finally decided to step out on faith and start Coffee, Tea & Me in 1987; she started with a "I can do spirit". ​The five years she spent at a vegetarian food company prepared her with a lot of techniques and information to be able to venture out on her own. Gwen leased some office space in Oakbrook Terrace, IL, purchased several phones, along with a customer list and began to call potential clients. In the first year, Coffee, Tea & Me grossed over nine hundred thousands dollars with one product.

Over the years, Coffee, Tea & Me has produced a variety of healthy delicious products and continues to gain more and more satisfied customers every day. When Gwen is not working hard at her passion, she is spending quality time with her loving husband of over 48 years, two children and three grandchildren. She also enjoys reading, traveling and exercising for relaxation.
